Myriam Van Imschoot: SONIC MEDIATIONS

  • Workshop

Sonic Mediations, a term that Myriam Van Imschoot coined, refers to her sound and composition practice that honors/hones the available resources present in groups for collective listening, sounding and voicing, inspired by Pauline Oliveros' sonic meditations for non-musicians as a form of sonic activism and participation. The workshop consists of preparatory work that enhances listening and voice work in order to test and develop scores with the participants as vistas into their own mediations.
