Taking inspiration from S. Pearl Sharp’s film poem Back Inside Herself this curated programme explores personal narratives that offer meditations on lived experience.
The selected works experiment with differing approaches to storytelling, through the medium of the voice and sound, gesture and time. These films were produced in the 1970s to the late 1980s, a period of developing feminist film practice and include films by Liane Brandon, Barbara Sternberg, Betzy Bromberg among others.
