A Broad Foundation: Creative and Technical
Behind the stage, versatility is essential. This programme covers everything needed to master the technical side of theatre. Whether working with lighting, sound, video, or set design, you will become the expert who turns concepts into reality. Guided by professionals from the performing arts, you’ll learn cutting-edge techniques and explore innovative applications. Discover how technology and creativity merge to create unforgettable productions.

Beyond Technology: A Critical Creative Role

A Technical Theatre Designer is much more than a technician. You are a vital part of the creative process, translating artistic visions into practical technical solutions and contributing to production development. With your artistic insight and technical expertise, you bridge the gap between concept and execution. Your technical prowess enhances your artistic identity, enabling you to design captivating and inspiring productions. You may choose to specialise further in lighting design, scenography, or sound design, honing your unique artistic voice.

Collaboration and Networking

Productions are built on teamwork. Throughout the programme, you will work closely with students from Drama-Acting, Drama-Direction & Writing, Audiovisual Creations, and Production Management. Collaborative projects will teach you how creation, design, technology, and organisation come together. These experiences will challenge your creativity and refine your skills.
