Would you like to steer groundbreaking creative productions? As a production manager, you are the linchpin bringing ideas to life. This programme teaches you how to flawlessly organise productions in the audiovisual and performing arts. Whether it’s theatre, television, digital or live events, you ensure everything runs smoothly. Equipped with the latest techniques and production methods, you’re on top of things.

Innovation and Technology 

In addition to organisation, this course emphasises innovation. You will explore cutting-edge techniques in the creative sector, including AI, virtual reality, and digital scenography. How can these tools be harnessed to make productions even more impressive? Working alongside experienced lecturers and industry professionals, you will experiment with camera, lighting, and sound equipment, learning how to use technology to tell stories in groundbreaking ways. This approach will shape you not only as an organiser but also as a creative innovator.

Collaboration and Networking

Productions are never a solo effort. Just like in real-world projects, you will collaborate with students from other RITCS programmes. These partnerships challenge you to refine your production skills and expand your creativity. Through internships and practical projects, you will build a valuable professional network, including international connections in the creative industry.

First Year

Foundations

Whether you choose theatre or audiovisual production, the first year focuses on developing your skills, regardless of your prior education. You will embark on a creative and technical journey, learning various techniques and discovering how to organise a production or project. Delving into pre- and postproduction, concept development, and different formats, you will learn to apply these elements artistically. At the same time, you’ll have the freedom to explore your interests. Alongside your fellow students, you will build a portfolio showcasing your growth as a creative maker.

Second Year

Collaboration and Deepening

In the second year, you will work within a production house structure on complex, realistic projects. You will deepen your knowledge of the production, artistic, and technical aspects of audiovisual or theatre creations. Simultaneously, you will continue to shape your personal path, working on a Proof of Concept that lays the foundation for your Bachelor’s project in the third year. 

Third Year

Specialisation and Professionalism

The final year is all about specialisation. You will develop a Bachelor’s project that prepares you for the professional world. Through internships, including international opportunities, and a networking event, you will present your work to leading industry professionals. This is your chance to establish yourself as a talented production manager.

Admission Test

To start this programme, you must first pass an artistic admission test. The admission test consists of three parts: a dossier, an intake or selection interview and a workshop week. Read more about the admission tests here.
