Visual Language and Storytelling

As a Director of Photography (DP) or cinematographer, you are the one who translates a story into compelling visuals. How do you frame a shot to emphasise key characters? How do light and shadow breathe life into a scene? Your artistic vision conveys powerful emotions and enriches the narrative.

Technical Mastery

A cinematographer is a master of visual technology. You will learn to operate professional cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment. From mastering camera movements to understanding digital processes like visual effects and colour grading, you will gain the skills to turn artistic concepts into cinematic reality.

Film Is Collaboration

Film is never a solo endeavour. Cinematographers work closely with directors, production teams, and lighting crews to bring creative visions to life. You will learn to be both a creative leader and a collaborative team player. During your studies, you will work alongside students in directing, production, sound design, and editing, with room to pursue your personal research and visual style. You will become the creator who lends each project a distinctive signature.

All classes are in Dutch.
