De Schrijfclub is a place where RITCS students and staff can experiment with all kinds of writing forms and materials after classes. During our sessions, we undertake all kinds of playful writing experiments within a set time frame. The exercises are easy-to-access but challenge us to try something new each time. From tape poems to post-it essays to something that doesn't have a name yet... We write without judgement and it’s all about connecting with your personal writing voice while having fun. And if we discover a new literary form or start a new artistic movement along the way, that's a nice bonus.
Dutch. If there’s a mix of languages among participants, we’ll transfer to English, but everyone can write in their preferred language.
The sessions are organized by Pieter Delfosse, writer and lecturer at the RITCS.
This activity is part of the research project Writing queerly: Developing an authentic writing voice by playfully breaking the rules, by Pieter Delfosse. Pieter Delfosse also organises The Queer Writing Group, in the frame of his research.
