The caretakers and patients are working together to put on a play as Philibert follows them; his camera catches the everyday moments, the loneliness and fatigue, but also the moments of joy and humor, as well as the great amount of consideration that goes on between each person present. We see people experiencing psychosis or neurosis; we see their attempts to bridge the gap between the outside world and their present moment. Without passing judgment, we can listen along to their stories alongside Philibert; we are simply present.
