Caroline Mathieu developed -together with her artistic team- LUMINAL, an immersive installation that explores the relationship between light and audience in a luminous experience of colour. This installation is part of her PhD in the Arts at RITCS/VUB.

LUMINAL is an immersive installation that draws you into a world of light. The work explores the tension between individual and collective experiences of illumination. Personal associations become a space for encounter, offering new hues and inviting participants to engage with light as both medium and message. LUMINAL seeks to awaken a conscious experience of light and a heightened sensitivity to its transformative power. Light—and its absence—reshapes perception, becoming a poetic and sensorial tool for reflection and transformation.

This activity is part of Caroline Mathieu’s PhD in the Arts.
